Two new studies have been released focusing on the EFSA-approved Magnesium Bisglycinate Chelate manufactured by Albion, and its demonstrated positive effects on human health. 

In the first study titled “Oral Magnesium Supplementation In Children With Cystic Fibrosis Improves Clinical And Functional Variables: A Double-Blind, Randomized, Placebo-Controlled Crossover Trial”, scientists examined patients with Cystic Fibrosis (CF), who are deficient in magnesium. The trial hypothesized that CF patients have low body magnesium storage and that magnesium supplementation could improve respiratory muscle strength. The double-blind, randomized, crossover study found that children and adolescents with CF who receive conventional treatment in combination with oral magnesium bisglycinate chelate supplementation achieve significant improvement in functional status of the respiratory musculature and better clinical results.

An additional study, “Oral Magnesium For Relief In Pregnancy-Induced Leg Cramps: A Randomised Controlled Trial” examined painful leg cramps commonly suffered by pregnant women. The women were administered 300 mg of magnesium bisglycinate chelate daily, or a placebo, and upon the completion of the study the women given the supplement saw a 50% reduction in leg crap frequency.
